It is not recommended to take the High Speed Rail (HSR) from Taoyuan Airport (TPE) to Baishawan Beach. HSR is expensive and slow. Although there can be up to 74 trains from Taoyuan to Taipei a day, running from the first at 06:49 to the last at 23:40, once service ends for the night until early morning, alternative transportation is still required. Assuming you depart from Taoyuan Airport (TPE) (Dayuan District, Taoyuan City) and head to the nearest Taoyuan HSR station, a taxi ride would cost about NT$400 and take approximately 20 minutes. After arriving at the HSR station, the time to walk in, purchase tickets, and wait on the platform is about 15 minutes. Then, take a 16-22-minute (20 min on average) HSR ride from Taoyuan Station to Taipei HSR Station. The ticket price is NT$160 per person, followed by a 15-minute walk to exit the station, wait for a ride at the taxi stand, and after a trip of about 82 minutes with a fare of NT$1,700, you will arrive at your destination at Baishawan Beach (Shimen District, New Taipei City). The entire journey, including transfers, takes a total of 2 hours and 32 minutes. Assuming one person traveling alone, the total transportation cost is NT$2,260. If you choose to take a taxi directly, in the Taoyuan City area, you can use apps to hail a cab from 55688 Taiwan Taxi, Uber, Line Go, Yoxi, etc., and if you cannot hail a cab on the street, you can also consider calling taxi fleets near Taoyuan Airport (TPE), such as 大園義交計程車, 菓林計程車, 游輝益自營計程車 to try to book a ride. Based on the meter, the estimated fare is between NT$1,510 and 1,800, which is not significantly different from Tripool.
