- To take the High Speed Rail (HSR) from Papago International Resort to Taipei Main Station, HSR is expensive, slow, and has difficult taxi access. Then, take a 94-134-minute (114 min on average) HSR ride from Zuoying Station to Taipei HSR Station. The ticket price is NT$1,490 per person, followed by a 15-minute walk to exit the station. Depending on the area, you may take a short walk or catch a bus (if available) to reach your final destination. The entire journey, including transfers, takes a total of 7 hours and 25 minutes. Assuming one person traveling alone, the total transportation cost is NT$8,890. However, in Taitung County, there are only just over 400 licensed taxis. The taxi density is 0.2% of that in the Taipei/New Taipei metro area.
